As already stressed, this is not necessarily a natural expectation. In particular, several arguments appear to suggest that composite particles may be less sensitive to quantum-spacetime effects than “fundamental” particles. Still, it is interesting to study this issue experimentally, and a way to do that is to look for opportunities for the “universality assumption” to break down.
