Proceedings of the VIIth Workshop “Quantum Physics with Non-Hermitian Operators” (June 29−July 11, 2008, Benasque, Spain)
The Guest Editors for this special issue are
The purpose of this workshop is in working actively on various aspects of Quantum Physics in which Non-Hermitian operators play important role. Focusing on theories described by PT-symmetric, Quasi-Hermitian, Pseudo-Hermitian, Crypto-Hermitian, and Non-Hermitian Hamiltonians. The proceedings will include such topics as Non-Hermitian (N-H) optical fibres and magneto-hydrodynamics, quantum dots and quantum computation, dissipative systems and other systems with loss of information, N-H random matrix models and statistical mechanical models, scattering theory for N-H Hamiltonians, Bose-Hubbard N-H systems, Hatano-Nelson models of strongly correlated particle systems, wave guides, N-H cosmological and gravitational models, supersymmetry for N-H Hamiltonians, and N-H quantum field theory. Their subject will involve several areas of mathematical physics, such as non-Hermitian spectral problems, perturbative methods, WKB and numerical methods, Lie algebras, Krein spaces, Moyal products, integrable models, quasi-exact solvability, conformal field theory, and the Bethe ansatz. How to Submit an Article to the Issue. The length of an article is not limited. Deadline for paper submission is November 15, 2008. Publication will be done only on the results of the peer review according to refereeing policy of SIGMA. We would like to stress that SIGMA does not distinguish between regular papers and the proceedings contributions: they will be refereed by at least two referees within the usual procedure of the journal. Only the papers containing new results that were not published or submitted elsewhere are accepted for consideration. Review papers will also be welcome, but they should not be simply reviews of authors' own work that is already published elsewhere. If you have your paper ready earlier than the deadline, we encourage you to send it now. We will start the reviewing process and publish the paper as soon as the positive publication decision is made. The paper will be indexed in the relevant databases as soon as it is published without waiting for completion of the special issue. |
