Abstract

The two most popular "rules of thumb" for the approximation of the binomial distribution by the normal distribution lack of regularity in the control of the maximal error. A criterion and some formulas for selected valúes of maximal errors are proposed to solve this lack of regularity.

Key words: Lack Of Regularity, Maximal Errors, Central Limit Theorem, Test of Hypothesis.
