Order of Torsion in {\rm CH}$^4$ of Quadrics

It is shown that the order of the torsion subgroup in the 4-codimensional Chow group $\CH^4(\xf)$ of a projective quadric $\xf$ is at most 4 provided that the dimension of the corresponding quadratic form $\f$ is greater than 8.
